At Connected to Recover, we believe in meeting the community where they are—both physically and emotionally. Our Community Outreach initiatives are designed to provide critical resources, life-saving tools, and support services that foster healing, education, and empowerment. Through compassion and connection, we work to reduce harm, promote mental wellness, and support recovery in every form.
Our organization provides free Naloxone (Revive, Narcan), a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Naloxone is distributed at outreach events, education sessions, and by request through our community access points. We believe that making Naloxone widely available is a vital part of reducing fatal overdoses and empowering community members to act in moments of crisis. We provide Nasal and Intravenous doses.
We offer community education sessions to raise awareness about mental health, substance use, harm reduction, and holistic wellness. These sessions are interactive, inclusive, and tailored to the specific needs of the audience—whether it be schools, community centers, faith-based organizations, recovery groups, homeless community, or other professionals.
Topics we cover include:
Our education sessions are rooted in lived experience and clinical expertise, ensuring that every conversation is both informative and impactful.
Connected to Recover helps individuals and families navigate the complex world of behavioral health, recovery, and support services. We offer a compassionate referral process that connects people to treatment, housing, counseling, case management, and other essential resources.
How it works:
We understand the importance of trust, so every referral is made with care, confidentiality, and follow-through.
We provide new and gently used clothing for adults and youth who may be experiencing financial hardship, homelessness, or housing instability. Clothing distribution is offered at select events or by appointment when available. We also distribute hygiene products and seasonal items such as coats, socks, and personal care kits.
Items we provide may include:
This initiative affirms the dignity of every individual and ensures that practical needs are met alongside emotional and mental support. This service is made possible by our partners at Crisis Assistance Ministry and our private donors.
